
This piece by Ohtake is called Zen-Kei.
Shinro Ohtake is famed for his modernist style, which, looking at this work by him we can clearly see.
Here are my views on the work.
It looks very colorful, detailed and vibrant. I am sure if i were to see this in real life i would be captivated by all the little separate paintings on it. i do like art like this, especially when you can stare at something for a long time and still find things in it after hours of looking.
The face at the left almost seems to be surveying the whole piece and smiling with approval.
