Art Work by Hew Locke

So, i have been given the task by my collage to make one or two blogs about some artists that they showed us. these artists have not been chosen by choice, just picked out of a group. here is one work out of their pictures out of the selection that i liked.

So, why do i like this piece of work by Hew?
Well, i chose it because i like the theme. An old looking bronze statue of a knight or warrior looked interesting to me and it is intriguing to see such a powerful and dominate figure now draped in tat.
i do not say that insultingly.
Hew Locke is famed for making, and decorating famous people and objects with ordinary everyday items such as these.

I have seen work like this (Possibly by him) in the Graves Gallery in Sheffield. i must admit i did not think much of it then, but now, looking at this piece i do like his work.
Hew i famed for making another work like this of the Queen. If you are interested, type his name in and i bet you the first thing you will see (or read) will be about this piece.
