Art Work by Cornelia Parker

So, i have been given the task by my collage to make one or two blogs about some artists that they showed us. these artists have not been chosen by choice, just picked out of a group. here is one work out of their pictures out of the selection that i liked.

After seeing some of Parker's work i decided to write about this one.
Most of the examples used by collage were of her Exploding shed and brass instruments
(Which were interesting and very skillful in their own right) but i searched her name and found this one instead.
I really like the idea about this piece.

It is so inventive. I love anything to do with nature and the rocks and stones look very tactile to me.
I love the way she has both, suspended them and given them depth by adding smaller rocks at the back and larger ones to the front. it gives the whole display a feel as if the path you are walking on is disintegrating before you.

It must have taken ages to hang each and everyone of those stones up to give it the lift it needs to be intriguing.

Look the artist up. Cornelia Parker had done some great sculptures like this where objects are suspended almost in movement, which all are pulled off to a dramatic effect.
