Could you help save my previous college?

Please sine this petition to help save Norton college in Sheffield from closing down in 2015.
The college helped me with my animation skills and digital art skills. with out the education i had at this college i would not be as experienced as i am today. i would be grateful if you could sine this. many people in this aria rely on the college for a step into higher education, and, to take this away would be a real shame.
Here is the link, the petition is a non binding petition, so will not cost anything but a few minuets to sine.

They only need 1000 signitures, so please be one of them, many young people are counting on this. Help us make a change!

Illustration and 2D by Timorous Beasties

Here are a list of artists who all work in an illustrative style.

Art work by Timorous Beasties.
Most of this artist's work reminds me of wall paper designs. With use of mixed media and digital art Beasties focuses on line, composition and colour.
Most of his work consists of repetition and continuous pattern.

Illustration and 2D by Matthew Williamson

Here are a list of artists who all work in an illustrative style.

Art work by Matthew Williamson.
Williamson is more of a fashion designer, so most of his art is in the form of prints.
But, with that said, here is an example that we could fit into 2D and Illustraion with mixed media (digital or non digital) and layered pictures.

Illustration and 2D by Noma Bar

Here are a list of artists who all work in an illustrative style.

Artwork by Noma Bar.
Here is some artwork by Noma Bar, an illustrative artists who works with block colour.
Often Noma only works with two or three colours at a time.
She has done a number of works that are very clever and often have hidden meaning. Unlike the other artists i have blogged about previously, she uses very little text and relies on image to convey her work's meaning.
Noma has done a few political works that are quite humorous and funny too. check them out, she's really good!

Illustration and 2D by Stefan Sagmeister

Here are a list of artists who all work in an illustrative style.
This artwork is by an artists called Stefan Sagmeister.
Again we could class him as an illustrative artist.
A majority of his work uses text and written words, comprised with photographs, collage and self portraits.
Often the words used in his work are more important that the subject, with this artists work i get a feel that he is trying to portray meaning with the text he uses.

Illustration and 2D by Olivier Kugler

Here are a list of artists who all work in an illustrative style.

Here is a work by Olivier Kugler.
Again, he is an illustrative artist.
His work reminds me of graphics design, with the clean and clear use of colour, line and composition.
Looking at some of his other works is have noticed that a building plan or structure in general in the subject, which reminds me of designing and graphics.
But, all is no clean, clear and strait forward with this artists works. often images, line drawings and text and words overlap each other to create a mix of detail.

Illustration and 2D by Sara Fanelli

Here are a list of artists who all work in an illustrative style.

This work is by an artists called Sara Fanelli.
Her style works with layered images and collage with use of text, colour and composition.
to me, there is something childlike about her work. if you look closely there is also an essence of humor and playfulness in her work too. Most of her work is well suited and mostly for children's books or other things to with that theme.

Silver smiting by Ndidi Ekubia

This piece of silverware is by Ndidi Ekubia
I chose this work by her because it is very similar to Hiroshi Suzuki's work that i blogged about previously.
Both artists are silversmiths and they both use the same technique.

Edidi (unlike Hiroshi) uses wooden and metal forms to craft her objects, but with that said her end results look very similar.

I have had a look at some of her works and i really do like them, all of them are different and have their own shapes and angels to them.

Silver smiting by Hiroshi Suzuki

Here is an artist i have chosen to write a blog about. i must document their work and state my thoughts about it.

This piece of silverware is by Hiroshi Suzuki.
Suzuki works away at metals with out any real planning. he feels the shapes and unlike many silversmiths he dose not hammer on wooded or metal molds. Instead he chisels, cuts and hammers away at his metals to form his work.

He says that he has a very strong relationship with the metals he uses. the waves and lines in his work are meant to be organic and flowing, like something natural.

I chose this photo because he mostly works with silver, and, to see one that was gold in colour just made it all the more interesting. I do like his work as it is very easy to look at and it is pleasing to the eye.
I imagine that it is very tactile too.
this piece kind of reminds me of the domes on the Kremlin in Moscow.
